| Remarks | Those Tigers which were sent to North Africa in Autumn 1942 as
the "schwere Panzerabteilung 501" [Heavy Tank Section 501] were
changed by the workshops units once they arrived. Some of those changes were later taken over also for the main production. The main changes were: - Addition of a stowage bin on the rear turret, the so called "Rommelkiste" [Rommel-Bin] - The Headlights were moved to the glacis plate - Sheet metal covers were attached for the exhausts. |
